Starting today (October 16, 2017) ABC Pediatrics will be REQUIRING insurance cards to be presented at each appointment. If you have a card on file, it will be refunded immediately.

We will also require patients to put a card on file. We have been refunding money and this will be an immediate refund so you are not waiting on a check.

As many of you are aware, Mission is negotiating with Blue Cross and Blue Sheild of North Carolina to renew their commericial and Medicare Advantage contracts. This includes employer-sponsored health plans, the State Teachers and Employees Health plan, and health plans purchased by the Health Insurance Exchange. Blue Cross has offer Mission a 0% rate increase forever. They are negotiating for a mid-single-digit rate increase to help cover the rising cost of drugs, medical supplies, and employee wages. Without thses increases, your well-being and care at Mission Health System is put in jeopardy, along with the long-term viability of Mission Health System.

Mission has created a website that will keep you updated with changes and well as answer many questions that you may have. What will help the most is for you to call your BCBS insurance carrier and ask them to please renegotiate the current contract with Mission.

Please visit www.StandWithMission.org for the latest news or call the dedicated information line at (828) 417-0480 Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:30pm.

As of July1, 2016 you will be required to provide us with a copy of your Private or Medicaid Insurance card. Be sure to bring it with you when you visit our office. If you do not have your card you will have to reschedule your visit.
